Mission Statement
The mission of Financial Services is to provide sound stewardship of the University of New Mexico’s fiscal activities while meeting the needs of students, faculty, and staff who are engaged in learning, teaching, research and community service activities.
Our ongoing commitment serves to:
Educate students, faculty, and staff about the compliance requirements associated with various state, local, federal, and agency rules, regulations and policies concerning financial expenditures.
Stay current in the latest accounting standards and regulations. Apply them to business and operational practices.
Provide sound and prudent counsel to executive leadership on fiscal, budgetary and procurement matters. Deliver accurate, timely, and useful financial reports to leadership and external constituencies.
"Controller Administration" is the name for the Division's core control center, which is located in the Business Center, Suite 3100.
